Q What are your manufacturing capabilities regarding size and thickness?
A We produce tinted float glass in standard thicknesses ranging from 3mm to 12mm. Standard sizes include 2140x3300mm, 2440x3660mm, and we can also supply oversized/jumbo panels up to 3300x6000mm upon request for large-scale curtain wall projects.
-
Q Do you provide detailed optical and thermal performance data?
A Yes. We provide comprehensive spectral performance data sheets (including VLT, SHGC, SC, and U-Values) for all our tinted architectural glass colors and thicknesses. This data is fully compliant with international testing standards and is crucial for facade consultants calculating building energy models.
-
Q Can your tinted float glass be combined with Low-E coatings?
A Absolutely. For maximum energy efficiency, we frequently manufacture Insulated Glass Units (IGUs) featuring an outer pane of tinted glass (to absorb heat and reduce glare) and an inner pane of Low-E glass (to reflect interior thermal energy). This combination provides the ultimate U-Value and SHGC ratings.
-
Q Does tinted glass carry a risk of thermal stress breakage?
A Yes. Because heat absorbing glass absorbs a significant amount of solar radiation, its center becomes much hotter than its shaded edges, creating thermal stress. We highly recommend tempering or heat-strengthening our tinted glass before installing it in exterior applications to entirely eliminate the risk of thermal breakage.
-
Q What is the difference between "Body Tinted Glass" and "Surface Film Glass"?
A Reach Building specializes in body tinted glass. The color is created by metal oxides within the glass matrix itself. This means the color is permanent and will never peel, bubble, or fade. Surface films or temporary coatings are applied after manufacturing and are highly susceptible to scratching and weather degradation.
-
Q Do you offer installation or just supply materials?
A We primarily supply glass and system components, but can also assist with design and installation guidance for large projects.
-
Q Can I customize the glass for color or transparency?
A Can I customize the glass for color or transparency?
-
Q What glass is recommended for commercial facades?
A Laminated or Low-E glass, depending on energy requirements and safety regulations.
-
Q Can you supply complete padel court systems?
A Yes, REACH Building provides full glass + aluminum frame systems for padel courts, ready for installation.
-
Q Is the padel court glass shatterproof?
A Yes, our tempered glass is designed to withstand strong ball impacts and break safely into small, blunt fragments if damaged.
