Low-E Glass Overview

Wholesale Supply of
Low-E Glass Stock Sheets

Low-E float glass is an energy-efficient base material produced for downstream architectural processing, including cutting, tempering, and insulating glass unit (IGU) assembly.

Low-E coatings can deteriorate during prolonged storage, while uncertain factory lead times can delay urgent orders. How Low-E glass reduces solar heat while maintaining natural daylight

How Low-E Glass Works

Low-E coatings selectively reflect heat while allowing natural daylight to pass through, helping maintain more stable indoor temperatures year-round.

01

Lower heating and cooling demand

02

More comfortable indoor temperatures

03

Less glare and interior fading

See How Low-E Coatings Control Solar Heat

This solar spectrum chart demonstrates how our coatings achieve elite thermal control without losing natural light. While maintaining high transmittance in the visible daylight spectrum, our single, double, and triple silver configurations sharply suppress infrared heat transmission above 780nm—giving your fabricated IGUs predictable, high-performance shading and insulation behavior.

FAQ

  • Q Can Low-E glass be used as a monolithic glass panel?

    A

Some online-coated Low-E glass can be used as monolithic glass. Most offline-coated Low-E glass should be fabricated into insulating glass units to protect the coating and maintain long-term performance. Our team can recommend the most suitable Low-E glass based on your application.

  • Q How should Low-E glass be stored to maintain its coating performance?

    A

Offline Low-E glass can generally maintain its coating performance for approximately eight months when stored properly under normal conditions. To provide additional protection during storage, we apply anti-mildew powder between the glass sheets to reduce moisture and prevent sticking. The powder can later be washed off with clean water without damaging the coating. In addition, each glass pack is edge-sealed and packed in a protective wooden crate. As a result, when the original packaging remains unopened and intact, our Low-E glass can normally be stored for up to 36 months.
