Located in the Shangyu District of Shaoxing, the Workers' Home is a landmark multi-functional complex dedicated to training, culture, and wellness. Spanning a total construction area of 14,300 sqm, this project demanded a glazing solution that could balance the transparency of modern design with the rigorous safety and energy-efficiency standards of large-scale public infrastructure.

Technical Spotlight: The 4-Layer Tempered Composite Facade

The centerpiece of the project’s architectural skin is the extra-large curtain wall units (≥7m²). To ensure structural integrity and thermal excellence at this scale, Reach Building engineered a sophisticated 4-layer tempered composite structure:
  • Configuration: 6mm Ultra-Clear Tempered + 1.52PVB + 6mm Ultra-Clear Tempered (Low-E) + 12A + 8mm Ultra-Clear Tempered + 12A + 8mm Low-E Ultra-Clear Tempered
  • Laminated Safety Matrix: The 1.52PVB interlayer ensures the glass remains intact even under extreme impact, providing a "safety shield" for the building’s exterior.
  • Dual 12A Cavities: The double-argon-filled air gaps act as a powerful thermal and acoustic barrier, drastically reducing heat transfer and urban noise.
  • Double Low-E Performance: Featuring two layers of Low-E coating to minimize infrared transmission, ensuring the building exceeds modern green building energy codes and significantly lowers carbon emissions.
  • Ultra-Clear Aesthetics: By using high-transparency ultra-white glass, the project achieves maximum neutral light and a crystal-clear visual identity.
