The Shangyu District People's Court is a public judicial building designed to serve essential civic and legal functions. Completed in 2023, the project features approximately 6,000 sqm of architectural glazing.  As a government facility with continuous public access, the building requires a glazing system that prioritizes safety, durability, and long-term structural reliability. The adoption of laminated tempered glass ensures enhanced protection in high-traffic areas while maintaining a clean and authoritative architectural expression suitable for a judicial environment.

Technical Spotlight: Laminated Safety Glass for Public Institutions

The glazing system for the Shangyu District People's Court adopts a laminated tempered glass configuration, engineered to meet the safety and durability requirements of government and institutional buildings :
  • Configuration: 8mm + 1.14mm + 8mm Dry Laminated Tempered Glass.
  • Laminated Structure: The laminated construction significantly enhances impact resistance. In case of breakage, the interlayer holds glass fragments in place, reducing the risk of injury in public-facing environments.
  • 1.14mm PVB Interlayer: The 1.14mm PVB interlayer bonds the glass layers together, ensuring that broken pieces remain adhered to the interlayer. This feature is critical for maintaining safety in judicial buildings with frequent public circulation.
